Banana Republic and Gap Fall/Winter 2011

I had the opportunity to preview the Gap and Banana Republic fall/winter 2011 lines and overall, they’re very good. Banana Republic used an autumnal mood – lots of greens, berries and browns. There were wools, silks and patterns.

The highlights were the stunning leather vest, the leopard-print trench coat – a perfect leopard even for those who don’t wear leopard and finally, wool skinny trousers with ankle zips.

There were pieces even a future princess would love.

Gap went black and sexy with their collection. I have to admit I was a little disappointed that once again, Canada may not be getting the amazing boots shown in the look book. The platform wedge peep-toe sandals that were on display added some nice height for the fall and would look great paired with a wooly, heathered tight.
